Google Stadia is coming soon to Chromecast (Google TV), Android TV

Google announced today that its game streaming service, Google Stadia, will launch on Chromecast with Google TV and some Android TV devices on June 23.

18 months after the service launched, Google Stadia is finally coming to Google's TV platforms. The news was announced by the company today. - "Stadia's coming to Chromecast with Google TV, plus compatible Android TV devices, landing on June 23," announced Google. The company said that Chromecast with Google TV will be supported at launch but there was no mention of Google TV devices such as Sony and TCL's 2021 models.

Google also said that it will be supported on compatible Android TV devices including Nvidia Shield, Hisense, Philips, Xiaomi, and Onn. It is expected to reach more Android TV brands and devices in the future. - "As for Android TV OS devices not on this list, you can opt into experimental support to play Stadia. While this feature is still in development and not every Android TV OS device will work perfectly, you can now try out Stadia and play your favorite games on more screens than ever before," the company said. To get started you need the Stadia Controller or a compatible Bluetooth controller. You will be able to install the Stadia app from the Google Play store starting June 23. Google Stadia currently offers around 180 games available for streaming across TV, PC, tablets, and phones.
