Huawei wins China’s first 5G base station equipment network access license

Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology issued China’s first 5G radio communication equipment network access license. Huawei took the lead in obtaining the first network access license for 5G base station equipment.

The issuance of this certificate indicates that Huawei’s 5G base station equipment can support large-scale deployment in China and officially access public telecom commercial networks.

Earlier, Mr. Ren Zhengfei, the founder of Huawei, said at a forum that from October this year, Huawei’s 5G base station shipments will reach 5,000 units per month. Notably, these base stations do not contain any US-made components and are no worse than base stations that use US components. This also shows that Huawei’s 5G base stations have been mass-produced.

Now Huawei has won more than 60 5G commercial contracts around the world and shipped more than 400,000 5G base stations. This achievement is obviously very good.

It is reported that Huawei’s 5G equipment adopts Massive MIMO technology to achieve full-scenario 5G network coverage and capacity improvement requirements, bringing users the ultimate ultra-high-definition video, AR/VR and other 5G enhanced mobile broadband (eMBB) service experience; Supports NSA and SA network architectures.
