LG Folder 2 clamshell dual-screen phone unveiled: Platinum gray and white options
Recently, the LG Folder 2 4G dual-screen flip phone has been launched as the successor to the LG Folder announced in 2018. The LG Folder 2 4G is priced at KRW 198,000 (approximately Rs 12,400) and the flip phone will be available in Platinum Grey and White colours. In addition to the main Display, the LG Folder 2 4G features a secondary 0.9-inch single screen on the case that displays messages, calls, time, battery life and signal status.
LG Folder 2 4G has a data security lock feature that prevents any data charges.
Specifications of the LG Folder 2 4G include a 2.8-inch QVGA 2.8-inch display with a resolution of 320 x 240 pixels and a 0.9-inch monochrome screen on the front. It uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 SoC processor with an Adreno 304 GPU, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded via a microSD card up to 32GB. There is a 2MP camera, FM radio function and SOS button.
The LG Folder 2 4G measures 107.9x55x18mm and weighs 127 grams. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS. The LG Folder 2 4G has a built-in 1470mAh battery and is pre-installed with the Android operating system, but LG has not disclosed the version number.
In addition, the machine has a T9 keypad and SOS key on the back, which can quickly dial pre-registered numbers in an emergency and send location information via SMS. The hot key button above the call key can call up the AI voice service or recording function depending on the operator. The phone will go on sale in South Korea on April 17.
