ON Semiconductor Named to Investor’s Business Daily’s 2021 ESG Top 100 Companies List
【Introduction】March 10, 2022—Onsemi (onsemi, NASDAQ: ON), a leader in smart power and intelligent sensing technologies, announced that its ESG efforts have been recognized by the Investor Business Daily (Investor’s Business Daily or IBD) 2021 ESG Top 100 Best Performers. The list highlights companies with leading ESG scores and strong stock performance, with ON semiconductor ranking 49th on the 2021 list.
IBD creates the list and ranks companies using Dow Jones Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) data from more than 6,000 companies. ON Semiconductor was included in the North American Dow Jones Sustainability Index for the fourth consecutive year. IBD narrowed its search to the top 15% of 2,360 U.S. public companies with share prices of $10 or more, and filtered out companies with an IBD Composite Score of 85 or higher. To break the 100-point tie, IBD screened on relative strength of share prices and earnings per share (EPS) scores. All data from IBD and Dow Jones is as of August 31, 2021.
In 2021, ON Semiconductor was selected by Ethisphere as one of the world’s most ethical companies for the sixth consecutive year, as the most sustainable company in the semiconductor category by World Finance for the second consecutive year, and by Newsweek for the third consecutive year. (Newsweek) as one of America’s Most Responsible Businesses. Shares of ON Semiconductor have risen more than 80% since January 2021 based on the company’s new strategy implemented by ON Semiconductor President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Hassane El-Khoury.
